CALL FOR
ENGLISH POETRY SUBMISSION Poetry Hall is
accepting poetry submissions year-round. Welcome to
POETRY HALL! Poetry Hall is a
bilingual Chinese and English quarterly journal published by the Chinese
Poetry Association. Its mission is to support the study, writing, and
publication of poetry. The journal publishes four issues each year: the
Spring issue at the end of March, the Summer issue at the end of June, the
Autumn issue at the end of September, and the Winter issue at the end of
December. We will send the English poetry contributions to our translators at
the beginning of February for the Spring issue, the beginning of May for the
Summer issue, the beginning of August for the Autumn issue, and the beginning
of November for the Winter issue. Poetry Hall welcomes all poetry enthusiasts
year-round. Accepted submissions will be published in the most appropriate
issue. Please submit
1-3 poems in the body of the email, along with a brief bio (50-70 words). Use
the subject line “English Poetry [Your Last Name].” Poems should be no more
than 28 lines. All accepted English poems will be translated into Chinese,
and the original English text will appear alongside its translation. Please send
submissions to: englishpoetry@poetryh.com. There is no submission fee, no payment for
contributions, and no free contributor copies. However, the quarterly journal
is available worldwide and sold on Amazon. Please use bold titles, single spacing between lines, and double spacing between stanzas. We will not alter your poem or its formatting, but unusual formatting may influence whether your poem is accepted. If non-standard formatting or spelling is intentional, please include a note for the editors. Previously published poems are acceptable as long as proper acknowledgment is included. |
